The Giver Synopsis:

Based on the 1993 novel of same name by Lois Lowry, in a perfect world where there is no conflict, racism or sickness, every member of society has a specific role, and 16-year-old Jonas is selected to be the Receiver of Memories. As Jonas uncovers the truth behind his world’s past, he discovers that many years earlier his forefathers gave up humanity in order to have a stable society

Berdasarkan dari novel 1993 oleh Lois Lowry, dimana dunia yang sempurna tanpa sebarang konflik, perkauman atau penyakit, setiap ahli persatuan mempunyai peranan yang spesifik. Jonas yang berumur 16 tahun dipilih sebagai penerima untuk “Receiver of Memories”. Jonas membongkar sejarah mengenai dunianya yang lampau, dimana beliau mendapati tahun-tahun sebelumnya moyangnya menyerah kalah bagi membolehkan masyarakat hidup dengan tenteram.
