Clément, a Parisian philosophy teacher, is transferred to Arras, a quiet northern town far from the bright lights of Paris. His world is turned upside down as He dislikes the provincial life.

Everything changes when he meets Jennifer, an attractive young hair stylist whose idea of a good time is singing karaoke with her friends. Their hearts and bodies are free to embark on a passionate love affair, but will it be strong enough to overcome the social and cultural gap between them?

In his film adapted from a novel by Philippe Vilain, Belvaux shows it’s not what we are, but who we are that determines our fate. While watching the movie you’ll find yourself asking: is there only one type of love?
